Very busy sports month the past few weeks. Lot’s of Winnipeg Jets games. Even more sports coming up over the next 2 months!
I’ve been keeping up with my triathlon training. The other day I did a fitness test of 20min running, as hard and as fast as possible. I clocked in an average of 4:58min/km. I genuinely have no idea where this sits on the spectrum of my capacity haha! Having not compared it much to other people, I can’t tell how I’m doing. But, my “consultant coach” (inside joke) is saying that it’s a really good effort and I’ve improved quite a bit. So I guess I’ll take that! I keep telling myself I’ll figure it out eventually…
Tomorrow is a bike test. Similar parameters of being as hard and as fast as possible. Let’s see how I do on that one! Then there’s another swimming one next week.
Having something like a weekly workout to look forward to, with a group has been a HUGE mood booster. I constantly look forward to it in my calendar. Just needed to shake things up a bit and triathlon has certainly been a welcome distraction/challenge for me personally.
Planning ahead at what the season looks like for Crossfire Bullriding and Branded 90 Media. Work’s getting done quietly in the background to make sure next year’s growth goals are being met. I’m genuinely excited to see where this goes.
